Giovanni is an internationally award winning director and photographer. In 2010 Giovanni acheived national and international recognition for his TV series "My Family Feast" with SBS. The series went on to win best TV series at the Australian Food Media Awards and "Best in World" at the Gourmand world TV Food and Wine Festival in Paris. ris Cook Book Fair. Since then his work has continued to win numerous awards most recently with TV series "On The Grill" again in coloboration with Chef Sean Connolly and Producer Paul Sullivan. Combining three of his passions, film, food and photography, Giovanni has the ability to apply his skills to is work with unique vision and creativity that comes from the heart. His honest approach to directing, lighting, production design and styling is what sets his work appart. From grass roots Gio was trained by the best, working as a Key 2nd assistant director on some of the biggest films to be shot in Australia. Film's to the likes of Superman Returns, The Knowing with Nicholas Cage, The Matrix and Moulin Rouge. Working closley with some of the most estemmed directors in the world provided him with an excellent training platform to eventually step into the directors chair successfully. Early on in his career Gio worked as a photographers assistant and camera assistant. Many years later is where he came full circle, directing and shooting, picking up the stills camera to photograph food on his shows. Now Gio shoots motion and stills for various brands, with a heavy focus on food for television, print and online. He is currently in production on his 4th TV Series "Sean's Kitchen" for CH 7, and regulary shoots stills and motion for clients like The Star, Restaurant Associates & The Compass Group.
