Hello my beautiful souls
This is not the post that I wanted to come to you with and it is a hard and sad one.
Our last day of trade will be on Sunday 30th of June 2024, I know next week.
If I can summarize the last 11 years it is a massive journey that myself and my family has been on.
All the ups and downs cannot express the pain that we are feeling right now.
Reasons are many but mostly it has become beyond too hard to run a business in the economics we are in this moment.
And I guess it is time for us to pull back, regroup and mainly for myself to rest for a while.
I know there will be a void where What's in the Pot? has been and it will be unfathomable to think of this as well.
Believe me I am struggling with the thought.
Change is inevitable and at one point you need to look ahead.
I have enjoyed every moment of our days and I believe I have accomplished in bringing authentic Italian flavours to the table through wholesome and home cooked meals.
I never defined myself as a chef but a "Mum that cooks with passion" and that I will be forever.
My personal growth has been beyond expectations and I have learnt to push all boundaries on all levels.
I have seen a "spark" become a beautiful get together for people to come and celebrate special moments just like home.
Most of all I will miss the little ones that I have seen grow up to becoming cheeky teenagers and beautiful young men and women.
Babies into toddlers and eating their first pasta.
Nothing beats this feeling ... it is just a blessing everyday.
The celebrations of all facets of life have been the essence of who we are and we have always tried to tailor menus to everyone's needs.
Watching someone eat with gusto is priceless for a person that provides food and you all have, on repeat, given me that heartwarming feeling.
The life of the party has been of course my hubby Flori.
With his love for wines and his "singing" has brought the atmosphere to the next level. Bless him.
My children have been in the background supporting me in all my choices.
Family is what pulls you through and my thank you goes to my husband, daughter and son for being there with me along the way.
To all the wonderful people that have worked with me goes my heartfelt THANK YOU.
You are many and I love each and everyone of you so much. You have taught me so many lessons which I will treasure and keep in my heart.
We have shared the good and the hard times together and I am grateful and blessed to have had you all in my life.
I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for everything we have achieved in these years and my Team and I owe it to you all that have supported us along the way. From customers to friends and family was just a step away.
All I can say is we are open to Sunday 30th June, come and say goodbye we would love to have you.
There will be laughs and tears to shed and share, always from the heart as everything we have ever done.
I will leave you with this quote that seems to fit quite well in this moment:
"If someone comes into your life and has a positive impact on you, be thankful that your paths crossed. And even if they can't stay for some reason, be thankful that somehow they brought joy into your life, even if it was just for a short while. Life is change. People come and go, some stay, some don't and that's okay. Remember the good times and smile that it happened."
Now bringing joy to you all is what I will miss the most, I might just find another way of doing this.
The key to our happiness is a vibration of Love and Joy. Once you apply this life takes a whole new meaning.
I wish this to you all.
Hope to see you all in the next few days to say goodbye.
