The Giddy is taking a Winter break. We expect to be open again on the weekend 18/19 July. If our scones aren’t on, can we suggest that you take a drive to Heide Museum of Modern Art in Bulleen, Melbourne? There’s currently a great exhibition of the late John Perceval’s superb ceramic angels. Back in 1966 when Gav was studying Art in Year 12, he would often visit The South Yarra Gallery where he became acquainted with, and mesmerised by, Perceval’s angels. Maybe Perceval’s quirky angels were a subconscious inspiration for Gavin’s quirky frogs which he has been producing since around 1973! We recommend a Heide visit - the exhibition has a few more weeks to run.
