100% gluten free kitchen based in NW Tasmania, owned and operated by Susanne, who is also the recipe creator and baker. Our highly coveted MODO MIO Naked Brownie recipes include Anvers couverture chocolate, local free range eggs, Duck River butter and organic quinoa from Kindred Organics. All our brownies are hand made to order and we send Australia wide via Australia Post E

xpress which means you get your chocolate fix the day after we post it – you can’t get quicker than that, unless of course you are local to us then you are welcome to come to the kitchen to pick them up! If you are Metro Tasmania we can send via courier which is actually cheaper than Aus Post (go figure)

We also make hand made bread mixes so you can bake at home and enjoy hot bread straight from the oven! You will also find us popping up at various farmers markets around Tasmania and can find updates of where we will be on our Face Book Page

Evening! having sold out of bread in super quick time at Devonport Farmers Market on Saturday, I have Chickpea & H**p bread orders which I will be baking tomorrow. Pick up from the kitchen just after 4pm. Should you want bread thats delicious, send me a pm and I shall bake for you too.

Remember we did tastings of our new Chickpea brownies last week and at Harvest? All up 80 different people tasted them… results as follows:

1 person went green round the gills as the very thought of chickpeas made them feel nauseous

3 people said too sweet

The rest were overwhelmingly positive!

So, you can guess what we will be bringing to Devonport market on Saturday 😁

How many times have you been disappointed with GF bread, you know, the white fluffy stuff that has the oddest taste, smells off, with practically no nutritional value and sticks to the roof of your mouth… lasts only a day or so then its toast it or bin it!

Well, this bread, is not only delicious, its packed with nutritious ingredients, tastes amazing, can be frozen and defrosted without the resulting defrost telling you it has to be toasted to be enjoyed.

So, you can either order a loaf and we bake it for you, or you can bake it at home… easy as! Pick up is either from our 100% GF kitchen on Ferguson Drive, Quoiba or from Devonport Farmers Market or Harvest Launceston, be sure to check where we are each Saturday.

The one below is Chickpea & H**p, we also have Buckwheat & H**p, and if the quinoa is ever available again, we’ll bring that one back too!

What a day… bonkers in the kitchen! Taste testing will have to wait until next week unfortunately, though 3 lots went out yesterday and the feedback has been phenomenal.

I will however be taking some to Harvest Launceston on Saturday, so I will be offering to my regulars for tasting, if they want to that is, be crazy not to!

So, what a perfect rainy day to faff about in the kitchen… my latest mission is to figure out what I can use chick pea flour for, or what might be a bit of an epic fail!

On Saturday whilst at Harvest Launceston I was asked, can I make the chick pea and h**p bread without yeast…. As you can see there is a huge difference! Not only in size but colour also… 🤔 I expected the size even though extra apple cider vinegar was added, but seriously thought the colour would be the same. How interesting! 🤣

And currently, I am baking off a slab of Death by Chocolate brownies also using chick pea, who knows this could completely replace quinoa if its up to my expectations, we shall see.
