Sandford father-of-three Trent Fenton has won Alone Australia season four, surviving 52 days in Finland’s Arctic Circle to claim $250,000.

The 40yo former Navy chef outlasted nine contestants in Sápmi, relying heavily on fishing through sub-zero temperatures, hunger and isolation.

Fenton said he broke down when wife Emma arrived to reveal he had won, calling it “pure emotion”.

Runners-up Clint, 57, and Jasper, 24, exited after 47 and 48 days.

Fenton plans to pay down his mortgage, invest for his children and donate to fellow contestants’ causes.

This is my fifth year fundraising and taking part in Out of the Shadows, walking 9km with the assistance of my doggo girls for the 9 Australians lost to su***de every day.

My goal is to raise funds to support Lifeline’s su***de prevention services and help Australians in crisis.
