Good morning, welcome to Friday! Mostly sunny today with patches of early frost this morning, keep reading for today's forecast and the weather for the weekend...
Will Kostakis writes books for young adult readers - his third YA book, 'The Sidekicks', has just been published. Will had an interesting start himself getting his first book published before he'd finished school. Tomorrow afternoon he'll be speaking at BLARNEY BOOKS & ART in Port Fairy, along with Shivaun Plozza. They'll be asking each other questions about their books, and taking questions from the audience as well. The event starts at 4:30, but you can get a sneak preview this morning on breakfast when we catch up with Nick after the news at 7:30am. Be listening to 1602AM in Warrnambool, 94.1FM in Hamilton, and 96.9FM in Portland.
Now for today's maximums - 16 for Portland, 17 for Warrnambool and Port Fairy, 18 for Colac, and 19 for Hamilton and Mortlake.
For the weekend - mostly sunny tomorrow with the slight chance of a shower in the southwest - maximums in the low to mid 20s, and a very high chance of showers on Sunday later in the day with maximums in the low 20s.
