A healthy fast Food Revolution in plant based food has started in Port Adelaide, Australia. Since 2012 Red Lime Shack café has been creating ‘Ozi’ meals designed to nourish, satisfy and energise with a ‘deliciously healthy’ approach.
We rely on basic cooking techniques requiring no frying or processed ingredients. We do not take short cuts by using refined sugars or artificial flavouring. In our 100% plant based kitchen we roast, grill, bake, and slow cook food to amplify taste and well being.
We may not be vegans ourselves, but we believe in healthy good food that requires the least footprint to produce. We don’t hold any political views about how to eat. We just love vibrant nosh and want to share a food experience with you. We don’t do fake meat or eggs nor are we trying to convert anyone. We just make ‘deliciously healthy FAST FOOD’ that tastes great, challenges the norm, and is good for you:)

Umbrella company Food Revolution Pty Ltd was founded in 2012. The goal has always been to provide nourishing, satisfying and energising plant based meals consciously, that taste good, thus the ‘deliciously healthy’ buy line. We wanted to connect with a loyal and resilient community by providing a large enough meeting space for them to just be.
Over the last 7 years our re-evolving team has explored festivals, community events, pop ups, running Wild at Hart Market, co-running Semaphore Summer Twilight Markets, running small local events, running the Hop on Hop off bus (HoHop) community tourism service, being involved in major local events: Laneway Festival, Wonderwalls, the TDU and Winterfest, assisting to set up community organisations (NWBA and the Port Environment Centre) and hosting open mics, music performances and art exhibitions.
As we move toward an exciting future we will continue to focus on leading edge ‘deliciously healthy FAST FOOD’ unprocessed plant based food, and maintain the highest quality coffee mantle in Port Adelaide. We continue to support the Suspended Coffee program, local artists with exhibition space, free book exchange area, and welcome all to relax in the huge open space. Red Lime Shack is and always will be YOUR community café.

Zero Waste Cafe
@ Zero Waste and 100% Compostable : Our consumer packaging is from SA companies Pak Rite and Packwise and is 100% compostable. In house we recycle our refuse plastics, glass, metals and cardboards and give our organic waste (including napkins)) to neighbours The Cottage Kitchen for their compost garden. Plastic bags go to Coles soft plastics recycling unit. As of July 2018 we have become a zero landfill business.
@ 1st H**p Food Café in Australia : We were first in Australia to use the nutritional h**p foods in our kitchen (for its incredible nutritional value). H**p contains more protein per gram than beef, all 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential ones our bodies can not produce. H**p also contains omega 3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids which are essential for a vegan diet. It also contains vitamin D3 and is the only plant-based protein to do so. You can find h**p regularly in our green smoothie, carrot bread, and daily salads. Please ask us to add it to any meal if you’d like.
@ Nothing Un Natural : No artificial sweeteners, refined sugars, corn syrup, fructose, hydrogenated oils, trans fatty acids, white flour, white rice, or white sugar are used in our kitchen.
@ Home Made : We make all our gluten free burger patties, hot dogs, rice balls and salads daily on the premises. Majority of our desserts are made by us.
@ 100% Plant Based : Our kitchen is 100% vegan which drives us to create high protein plant based natural sustainable meals.
@ Moo : We have SA Paris Creek biodynamic organic cows milk available for coffee drinkers. This is the only non plant based product we use.
@ Sugar : We don’t use any refined sugars or processed food in our kitchen prepared meals.
