Porongurup Art exhibition: Artist Spotlight, Bruce Cobain is a prolific Great Southern artist. You will see his work in Albany, Torbay, Mount Barker and Porongurup. His incredible detailed and layered works are mostly made at home in the Porongurups but occasionally we will get to see him in action at the Porongurup sip and create on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. Starting with by taking a series of photos of a subject then building up his peice in layers starting from the shadows. From acrylics to pastels he aims to keep high quality art affordable.

It has been so great to have the Porongurup Studio set up as a gallery for the ArtSouth WA and the Southern Art & Craft Trail Hosting numerous local artist from a range of medias from textiles to oil paintings makes for such a vibrant and full exhibition. There is definitely something for everyone.

We are grateful for all our artist that put in works and helped set up, especially grateful for the Porongurup craft group which has been volunteering to man the studio during our busy times.
