THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY, WESTRALIAN APARTMENTS! 🙌

A big thank you to everyone from Westralian Apartments, especially organiser who joined us at the Perth Bowling Club on Saturday for a fantastic afternoon of social bowls! 💙💛

There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughs and, most importantly, a great atmosphere out on the green.

💛 Connection, conversation and community at Perth Bowling Club

We were delighted to welcome members of Western Australia Police Force to the Perth Bowling Club for a social event held as part of their R U OK? Day activities.

The afternoon provided an opportunity to step away from the everyday routine, enjoy some social bowls and drinks, connect with colleagues and, importantly, reinforce the value of checking in with the people around us.

R U OK? Day is a valuable reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference — and sometimes the best conversations happen in relaxed, welcoming environments.

It was fantastic to see the greens being used not just for bowls, but as a place to bring people together, strengthen connections and support wellbeing.

Thank you to WA Police for choosing Perth Bowling Club for the occasion. We were proud to play a small part in such a worthwhile initiative.

From 6pm–9pm, enjoy live performances from the Parko and Sero Duet alongside Ilan Zagoria-Music as the Perth Folk and Roots Club brings another great night of music to the heart of Perth.

Did you know that the Perth Bowling Club is the first ever Western Australian Bowling Club and was instrumental in the formation of the Royal Western Australia Bowling Association.
Simon Alden from Bowls360 put together a great video looking back at the history of the club which includes some terrific photos of the original location on the Esplanade and the new club on Plain Street.

The inaugural Perth Cup went down to the wire in a great final which saw the team of Lisa Featherby, Chris Ace-Watson and Jenni McLaughlin defeat Clive Adams, Chris Leggett and Deb Saunders.
Thankyou to the host clubs of Perth, North Perth Bowls Club and South Perth Bowling Club along with the many club volunteers including International Technical Officials Lorelle Watson and Sharon Lynch.
Thankyou to all the teams who supported the event and we look forward to seeing you again in 2027.
