FARE THEE WELL GOOD SIR.
Today we say farewell to Stirling. As happy as we are that he is off to conquer a new city, we will miss him dearly. He joined our team when Melbourne was falling apart with covid lockdowns and restrictions. He brought with him an abundance of hospitality knowledge and experience that helped bring Poppy to the next level.
His sharp wit and funny banter made our days seem all the richer. His coffee skills set us all up to face the day ahead, including some special notes in our coffees. He'd even wear the chef's hat to cook when needed. Work Dad, Work Husband, Daddy Chef, Barista, Floor Manager, Venue Manager, Social Lubricator, Social Worker, Sage Advisor, Cupid, Food & Beverage Connoisseur, Fiddler, DJ.....the list goes on. Truly a man with many strings to his bow.
Stirling in name and Stirling in character indeed. I have nothing but love and appreciation for the wonderful man that Stirling is. When I needed to take time to be with family, he looked after Poppy Cafe as if it was his own. His care and support helped me get through some really tough times. I will miss you dearly , as will the rest of the team and our extended Poppy family. Thank you for being the amazing person that you are. will be lucky to have you.
