It is with immense sadness that the Pontian Eagles announce the passing of the clubs longest serving president Terry Kalaitsidis.

Anyone that has been ever been involved with the Pontian Eagles, stepped on the park or just come to watch a game knows the time, effort, and most of all the love he has for the Pontian Eagles. The club we all know today would not have been possible without the love, effort and unwavering dedication from Terry and the late John Thanos.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving family & friends in this difficult time.

🍕🍕 We would like to thank our valued customers for your patience tonight. With the weather ⛈️🌩 and footy 🏉🏉 the wait times were extended and many were waiting longer than we want you to. We did try our best to get orders out as quickly as possible. 🍕🍕

We have been notified by someone within the community that the below post was made in the Paralowie, Burton and Surrounding Suburbs Neighbourhood Group page.

Whilst we are disappointed with this post (noted to be from a regular customer) we would like to clarify some key points.

Firstly, yes we did increase our prices and whilst some prices didn't increase at all, other prices (especially the deals) did increase by about 11% - 12%.

None of our prices increased by 20.44% as suggested by the post below.

Secondly, as a regular customer this person should know that this is only the SECOND price increase since 2014. With the first increase occuring at the start of 2022.

Thirdly, whilst we didn't want to increase our prices (and that is why we held off for so long) the substantial increase of cost of goods has occurred across the board since our last price increase in 2022. This includes the following:
- Cheese 37.58% increase
- Flour 20.3% increase
- Ham 18.3% increase
- Chicken 47.65% increase
- Garlic Bread 37.07% increase
- Pepperoni 24.6% increase
- Salami 14.83% increase
- Packaging 10.5% increase
- Rent 12.29% increase
- Wages 64% increase
We could go on and on!

As a small business we cannot absorb these sharp increases forever! We absorbed them in 2023 and this caused a substantial increase to our debt levels. We made a decision, if we wanted to still be in business in 12 months time, that the price increase could not be delayed further! Looking at our increases compared to the average of the above increases we would say our increase is not greedy at all, rather being for survival!
