Keep an eye out for us on the news tonight and our superstar Ruby!

You might spot a few familiar faces on the news tonight, but we think Ruby absolutely stole the show.

Ruby is one of our incredible apprentices and today she had the opportunity to share a little about her journey, what she loves about being a chef and where she hopes her career will take her.

As a small business, developing our people has always been incredibly important to us. We’re proud to train apprentices, give them opportunities to learn and grow, and hopefully help set them up for long and rewarding careers wherever those careers may take them.

We also know that continuing to provide those opportunities isn’t always easy, particularly when things are tough for small businesses. That’s why we’re always happy to see initiatives that invest in apprentices, skills development and support the businesses helping train the next generation.

Ruby is just one example of the amazing young people coming through our kitchens, and we couldn’t be prouder to play a small part in their journey.

A huge congratulations to all of the clubs, teams, players, coaches, volunteers and families across our local community on another fantastic season.

We absolutely love being able to support our local sporting clubs and recognise the time, effort and commitment that goes into getting through a season. So, as winter sport wraps up, we’ve got one last chance for you to claim your hard-earned reward!

If you received a Shanika’s sponsorship voucher during the 2026 winter season and didn’t get a chance to use it before it expired, bring it in this weekend and we’ll honour it until end of day Monday, 5 October.

A few important things to remember:
• You must bring your physical voucher with you
• Vouchers must be from the 2026 season, vouchers from previous seasons will not be accepted
• The usual limit of one sponsorship voucher per visit still applies
• Available while stocks last in our fridges

So have a look through the footy bags, backpacks and gloveboxes, find that voucher and come in to claim your well-earned reward!

Congratulations again to all of our local clubs on a brilliant winter season. We’re proud to support you.

Three meats, one very generous bowl.

Our Pasta Tre Carne brings together diced chicken, eye fillet strips and chorizo sausage, tossed through rigatoni with pumpkin, capsicum, snow peas and spinach. It's finished with garlic, pesto, sun-dried tomato puree and a drizzle of olive oil.

It's hearty and full of flavour, and it's a firm favourite with our regulars for good reason. Come in and enjoy it at the table, or take it home and let us do the cooking.

We’re open all Grand Final long weekend at Shanikas Pakenham.

We’ll be open on Friday’s public holiday with no public holiday surcharge, as well as Grand Final Saturday.

Whether the footy is part of your weekend plans or you’d prefer to avoid it altogether, our doors will be open for lunch, dinner and everything in between.

We look forward to seeing you over the long weekend!

As the season comes to an end, it’s time to thank the people who helped make it happen

The coaches who gave up their nights. The team managers who kept everyone organised. The volunteers who showed up week after week. The people behind the scenes who make our local clubs what they are.

If you’re looking for an end of season thank you, treat them to Shanikas

A little Father’s Day wisdom from the dads who’ve been there

Because one of the best things about being a dad is learning as you go… and then being able to pass a little of that knowledge on to the next one.

05/09/2026

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads and father figures out there! ❤️

Of course, working in hospitality means some of our Shanikas dads don’t exactly get to spend Father’s Day relaxing at home with the family…

And some DO get to spend it with their family, they just have to put them in a Shanikas uniform and see them to work.

A very Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Shanikas. We hope all the dads in our community feel very loved and appreciated today however (and wherever) you’re spending it.

And an extra bit of love to our Shanikas dads spending their Father’s Day looking after everyone else’s families

05/09/2026

With Father’s Day tomorrow, we thought we’d check in with some very familiar faces from the Shanikas & Circa family... we sat down with Nino, Nigel, Nick and Rob to hear a little of the wisdom they’ve picked up along the way

Behind the restaurants, the busy days and the familiar faces you see around our venues, they’re dads too and we love sharing this side of them as well

Wishing all the dads, grandads, father figures and families in our community a very Happy Father’s Day for tomorrown❤️

And a huge thank you to every club, team and community member who entered and nominated their club. We absolutely love being involved with local sport and supporting as many of our local clubs as we can!

Of course, there could only be one winner this time... but if you're currently planning your own presentation night or end of season celebration, we'd still love to help!

We have catering options available from just $12 per person, whether you're feeding a small committee group or the whole club.

And if you'd like to chat to us about club sponsorship or other ways Shanikas may be able to support your club, we'd love to hear from you.

Congratulations again to the under 10's, we hope you enjoy your lasagna night! 🏆🍝❤️
