🔥 Behind the Making: Tofu On Tofu Don

We start with crispy fried tofu layered over steamed rice and glazed with our rich teriyaki sauce. A light tofu foam adds creaminess, while crispy gyoza skin furikake brings texture and umami. Finished with a sprinkle of fresh spring onion, this bowl is dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free — proving plant-based can be just as indulgent and beautiful.

At Uncle Don, every bowl is crafted with intention. 🥩 Wagyu Steak Don a donburi made for indulgence.

We use MBS 7–8+ Wagyu steak, perfectly seared to lock in the rich marbling and buttery texture. The steak is glazed with our house-made teriyaki, which adds a deep, savoury-sweet flavour that coats each bite. Served over steamed rice and topped with a soft-cooked free-range egg, it creates a silky, comforting layer that melds beautifully with the beef. Finished with roasted nori flakes and fresh spring onion, every mouthful bursts with umami, freshness, and a touch of elegance.

Our Chicken Katsu Don is all about comfort. 🍗✨

We start with tender chicken thigh, coated in crisp golden panko crumbs and fried making it juicy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. It’s then glazed with our house-made katsu sauce, a recipe crafted in-house for that perfect sweet and savoury kick.

Instead of just an egg topping, we use scrambled free-range eggs, soft and silky, which melt into the rice, adding richness with every bite. The don is finished with a sprinkle of roasted nori flakes and fresh spring onion, giving you that umami lift and brightness that ties it all together.

It’s a donburi that feels homely and the kind of bowl you’ll crave again and again.
