UPDATE: It's getting closer!!!
The Rotary Club of Milawa Oxley is very excited to be bringing our Local Primary Schools Art Exhibition to the Milawa Cheese Factory Complex on Sunday 18 October, from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.
The exhibition is all about celebrating the creativity of our local primary school students, and it would be wonderful to see the children proudly bringing their families along to find their artwork on display and to support their schoolmates.
There are some fantastic prizes for our young artists, with $100 for First Place, $50 for Second Place and $25 for Third Place. Prizes will be awarded between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm.
We are very grateful to Milawa Cheese Factory, who are generously sponsoring the venue for the exhibition and will also be offering cheese tastings throughout the day. Wood Park Wines will be providing free w**e tastings, Wattle Tree Collection gift shop will be open for browsing, and The Terrace will be open for coffee and lunch.
We’ll also have plenty happening for the kids, with free art-themed activities to enjoy. And because we thought the grown-ups should have some fun too, we’re inviting families to put their creative and engineering skills to the test with our Spaghetti & Marshmallow Tower Challenge, with a prize for the family that builds the tallest tower!
This is a community event designed to showcase our local children and their creativity, while giving families a relaxed and enjoyable day out. The more families we can encourage to attend, the more special the day will be for the children whose artwork is on display.
Councillor Alison Winters is coming along to judge the artwork and help present the prizes.
So please come along and support our local kids. Your support really does make a difference.
