💙 THIS WEEK AT STEAMY BEANZ 💙

A little correction from me this morning! 🤦‍♀️💙

In my earlier post about this week’s fundraiser, I incorrectly mentioned that this year’s fundraising was again going towards the UniSA Rehab Clinic. I’ve since spoken with the Tucker Family and have been updated that this year’s fundraiser is supporting MND. 💙

My apologies for the mix-up — I had assumed we were fundraising for the same cause as last year and should have double-checked before posting. 🤦‍♀️

But the important part remains the same… we’re getting behind an incredibly important cause and doing what our little Steamy Beanz community does best! 🥹

So the balloons have had a little makeover and we’re BLUE this week! 💙💙💙

Throughout our final week at 11A Main Street, we’ll have our fundraising happening in store, our special cupcakes 🧁 and plenty more to come as we raise as much as we can to support the cause.

It feels pretty special that during our very last week in this little building, we get to fill it with one more fundraiser and hopefully make a difference for another family in our wider community. 🥹💙

I’ll share more information about the fundraiser as I receive it, but in the meantime, pop in, grab a coffee or a cupcake, make a donation if you can and help us turn our final week at 11A Main Street BLUE for MND. 💙

END OF AN ERA 🥹☕️

Well… here we are. Our very last week of Steamy Beanz at 11A Main Street, Owen. 😭

From Monday 14th – Sunday 20th September, we’ll be serving up coffees for one final week from the little building Steamy Beanz has called home for almost five years before we pack everything up and make our HUGE move into the Owen Post Office! 📮☕️

It feels very strange even writing that. This little shop has seen SO much over the years — thousands and thousands of coffees, plenty of laughs, fundraisers, birthdays, new products, crazy busy days, quiet chats, friendships and so many memories. It’s going to be incredibly bittersweet saying goodbye to it, but I am SO excited for what comes next. 🥹

And because apparently simply having our last week of trade wasn’t enough to keep me busy 😂🥵, we have a pretty special week planned!

💙💚 We’ll be fundraising throughout the week for the Tucker Family, with our blue & green making another appearance, cupcakes, fundraising and plenty happening in store.

I’ll share all the details throughout the week, but for now I just wanted to say…

If you’ve been meaning to pop in for one last coffee at the original Steamy Beanz — this is the week. ☕️🥹

Our final trading day at 11A Main Street will be Sunday 20th September.

Then from Monday 21st September, Steamy Beanz will be closed for two weeks while I head off to complete my Australia Post training! 📮😅

While I’m busy learning all things Post Office during the week, my weekends will be spent packing, moving and setting up our new home so that hopefully, once training is finished, we can hit the ground running from the Post Office. ☕️📦📮

I’ll keep you all updated along the way and let you know our official reopening date as soon as everything is ready.

Steamy Beanz isn’t closing… we’re just growing. 🩵

I WON!!!! 😭☕️🏆

I genuinely cannot believe I get to write this…

I HAVE BEEN VOTED SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S BEST BARISTA 2026!!! 😭☕️🏆

WHAT?!?! 😂

Making the finals was already more than enough for me — I genuinely never thought I would actually WIN. Then on Thursday morning I opened an email telling me I’d been voted SA’s Best Barista for 2026, and I think I read it about five times before it actually sunk in. 😂😭

A self-taught barista from a little country cafe in Owen, who started Steamy Beanz nearly five years ago with two Sunbeam home coffee machines, learning as I went. 🥹☕️

How on earth did we get here?! 😂

Steamy Beanz has always been about so much more than coffee. It’s the people, conversations, friendships and community that have made our little cafe what it is.

And this wouldn’t have happened without YOU.

To every person who voted, shared my post or told their friends and family to vote — THANK YOU. 😭🤎

You backed me. You backed Steamy Beanz. You backed a small business. And you helped put little Owen on the map. 🥹

I also couldn’t do what I do without my people — my incredibly supportive and hardworking partner Brandon, our beautiful kids Poppy and Huxley, and our support people who are always there when we need them. You know who you are. 🤎

I genuinely don’t even know what to say right now… I’ve just received an email telling me that I’M A FINALIST in The Advertiser’s search for SA’s Best Barista 2026!! 😭😭

EKKKKKKK!! 😂☕️

Little old me, behind the coffee machine at our little cafe in Owen, somehow made the finals for SA’s Best Barista. That feels absolutely CRAZY to even type. 🥹

To whoever nominated me in the first place — THANK YOU. 🤎 The fact that someone thought enough of me and the coffees I make every day to put my name forward honestly means more than you know.

Steamy Beanz has become such a huge part of my life over the last few years. There have been plenty of early mornings, long days, stressful days, thousands and thousands of coffees 😂 and SO many beautiful people who have walked through our doors.

I wouldn’t get to do what I love every day without the incredible little community behind Steamy Beanz, so this one feels pretty special. 🥹🤎

BACK ON DECK! ☕️💙

Well… I’m back! 😂

After a HUGE week in Melbourne wondering the aisles of Life InStyle + Reed Gift Fair, meeting some incredible brands, finding soooo many beautiful new goodies and coming home with approximately 462 new ideas for Steamy Beanz… it’s time to get back behind the coffee machine! 🥵😂

Now I just need to remember how to make a coffee after having a whole week off… wish me luck. ☕️🤣

Steamy Beanz is BACK OPEN from 9am and I honestly can’t wait to see everyone again!

I’ve come home feeling so excited and inspired for what’s ahead. There are new brands coming, new products on the way and SO many ideas swirling around in my head — especially with our big move into the Post Office getting closer. 👀✨

But first… coffee. Lots of coffee.

What a HUGE couple of days! 🤍✨

Life Instyle Melbourne… you have been incredible. 🥹

I honestly don’t even know where to start! The last two days have been filled with SO many beautiful products, incredible brands, new ideas and plenty of moments where I’ve thought “yep… I need that in the shop!” 🫣😂

But one of my favourite parts has been the people.

I’ve had the chance to meet some amazing new brands and hear the stories behind their businesses, but I’ve also finally been able to introduce myself and meet some of the wonderful people behind the brands that you already know and love from our little shop back home. 🤍

Coming to Life Instyle is something I’ve wanted to do for a few years now, and with everything happening with Steamy Beanz and our move into the Owen Post Office, the timing honestly couldn’t have been better.

Walking around these last couple of days, I’ve been looking at everything a little differently — not just thinking about what I love, but what you guys will love, what will work in our new space and what will help make the next chapter of Steamy Beanz feel even more special.

And safe to say… I have found some goodies. 👀🤭

I cannot WAIT to start introducing you to some of the amazing new brands and products I’ve discovered here. There are some very exciting things coming to our shelves! 🛍️✨

But Melbourne isn’t finished with me just yet…

Tomorrow I’m off to the Reed Gift Fairs for one last HUGE day of exploring, discovering and probably adding another 300 photos to my camera roll. 😂🥵

Then Sunday it’s time to make my way home with a very full head, very sore feet 😂 and SO many ideas for what’s ahead.

This trip has made me even more excited for everything we’re creating with Steamy Beanz + the Owen Post Office. 🤍

One more fair to go… wish me (and my bank account) luck! 😂🫣

✈️ OFF TO MELBOURNE! 🛍️

Before anything else… we’re open today (Sunday) from 9:30am–2:00pm, so pop in for one last coffee, bite to eat or browse before I head off for the week! ☕🤍

After today, Steamy Beanz will be closed from Tuesday 5th August until Sunday 9th August, reopening Tuesday 11th August from 9:00am.

This isn’t just any trip… it’s something I’ve dreamed about for the last three years, and I honestly can’t believe it’s finally happening! 🥹

I’m heading to two of Australia’s biggest gift fairs to discover beautiful new brands, meet amazing suppliers, and find exciting new goodies for Steamy Beanz.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect either. With our move into the Post Office getting closer, this is the perfect chance to start planning our bigger space and fill it with even more beautiful products for you all. 🤍

And I’d absolutely love for you to come along!

I’ll be sharing everything over on our stories throughout the week—from airport coffees ☕️ and gift fair adventures to gorgeous displays, new brands, and maybe even a few sneak peeks of what might be making its way back to Owen. 👀

You might even get to help me decide what comes home! 🤭
