Hey everyone,
I just wanted to come on here and say thank you for all the support I’ve received over the last few days. I was honestly blown away by the amount of likes and comments on my post. Unfortunately Facebook won’t let me take over the old bar village cafe account, so I have started a new one! If you could please follow and like this page that would be awesome. Many of you would have seen the post added to our page from Jas (Jasmine).

Our regulars at a old Bar Village Cafe will most certainly know her.

Firstly, I would just like to say that it has absolutely been a privilege to be a member of such an amazing community, the friendships I have built will stay with me forever. Life sometimes times doesn’t work out the way we planned but I’ve always believed it doing the best I can each and every single day. I want to thank everyone who supported me over the past 3+ years that I’ve had the cafe. You all mean so much to me and I look forward to catching up with many of you for a coffee (where I don’t have to run off to serve someone or cook a meal🤣) just an ordinary paying customer that’s going to enjoy a great coffee.

To Jasmine, I’ve never met anyone like you, so determined, strong willed, a young woman who knows what she wants with maturity beyond your years, you will take Cafe Azzuro to the next level and I’m so proud of you and the sale of the cafe was so much easier knowing it was going to someone with as much passion as me.

I wish you all the success you deserve, it’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you soon and you know I will always be here for you❤️

Hey everyone! My name is Jas and you’ve probably seen my face before at the Old Bar Village Cafe. I wanted to come on here and share some amazing news with you all. I have officially taken over Old Bar Village Cafe!

As of the 31st of January, we’ll be trading under a new name: Cafe Azzurro.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity by my wonderful (now former) boss, Jodie. I can’t wait to share my plans for the cafe with the Old Bar community and bring you along for this next chapter. I’d also like to sincerely thank our amazing customers for the continued support you’ve shown this cafe over the years. Our team works so hard to make this place special, and we truly couldn’t do it without you.

As we transition into new ownership, I’d like to inform you that we’ll be introducing a Mediterranean-inspired menu (while still keeping many of your favourite dishes). I kindly ask for your patience and support as I navigate this exciting new chapter in my career. At just 20 years old, this is a huge step for me, and any feedback, encouragement, and support means the world.

Lastly, I want to say a massive thank you to Jodie. After working here for three years, I can honestly say I’ve never met someone so passionate, dedicated, and strong-willed. You inspire me every day with your resilience and the way you’ve faced challenges head-on. Through it all, you’ve remained selfless and caring toward others, and now it’s finally your time to focus on you. Thank you again for trusting me with this opportunity. I truly hope I make you proud.

I’m so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome you all to Café Azzurro. Thank you for being part of this journey… I’ll see you soon 💙
