From the time I got to stand beside my Grandpa learning the ropes of his home coffee machine, I've loved making great coffee. With courses and lots of practice under my belt, Beachside Barista is the next step in my journey to owning my own coffee shop in the future. Our family kombi, "Hippee" comes along for the ride and together we'll offer hot and cold drinks to our neighbourhood of Mullaloo and Ocean Reef. We're looking forward to meeting you, thanks for joining us on the journey.

Tread lightly Tuesday: we recently signed up to the toogoodtogo.aus app, a scheme reducing food waste. It’s a place where cafes, bakeries and restaurants can sell leftover food at half price or less to locals rather than putting it in landfill. Love it!

** GROUNDS AVAILABLE AT THE VAN TODAY **

Tread lightly Tuesday: for around 5 years now we haven’t thrown any coffee grounds in the bin. Although it breaks down and enriches compost, in landfill with no air around it, it releases methane and carbon dioxide, contributing to global warming. 🌏

Instead, we distribute grounds to local gardeners to add nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to the soil. 🌱

After a very busy week, I’ll have a couple of buckets at the van to giveaway. If you’d like a bucket on an ongoing basis, let me know and I’ll add you to my list.

Tread lightly Tuesday: one of the many things we love about Market Life’s Maker’s Market and Upmarket is that they provide us with keep cups to use for the event. Return stations are posted around the market and hundreds of disposable cups are saved every market. 👏
