I wasn't going to say anything, but some of the comments on our logo post genuinely upset me.

I asked whether you preferred 1 or 2 — and I absolutely expected people to have a favourite. It's pretty clear you love our OG, and we hear you. ❤️

What I didn't expect were comments calling #2 terrible, awful and worse.

What many people may not know is that Garage was originally owned and built by a woman, and today it is owned and run by another woman.

Both of us have poured an enormous amount of our lives, time and energy into this little business.

The female surfer wasn't about erasing the Garage you know and love. It was simply an idea to recognise the women who have been such a big part of Garage's story.

You don't have to like her. You can think #1 wins hands down — that's exactly why I asked.

But you can say "I prefer #1" without tearing #2 apart.

There are real people behind small businesses. And yes, sometimes your words hurt.

We got the message — the OG is very, very loved. 🏄❤️

Just remember, kindness costs nothing. ❤️
