The October long weekend, every year. 😆
👇Considerate Dog Waits Until Pawblic Holiday To Have Medical Emergency
A local dog has been praised for his thoughtfulness after waiting until a pawblic holiday to experience a mysterious medical emergency, ensuring his hooman was freely available to drive him to the vet.
The dog reportedly began appearing “deeply unwell” at approximately 2am, refusing any food or water, and developing a sudden case of diarrhoea.
The timing was particularly considerate, with significantly less traffic on the roads and his hooman already dressed in comfortable clothes for the journey.
“I could have done it on a workday, but that would have been terribly inconvenient,” he explained.
With his regular vet enjoying the pawblic holiday, the dog also provided his hooman with the opportunity to experience the premium services of a local emergency clinic.
He then demonstrated remarkable efficiency by making a full and speedy recovery during the journey.
By the time they arrived, the dog was back on his feet, greeting staff enthusiastically and taking a keen interest in another dog in reception, allowing the vet to conduct the consultation without the added complication of him actually being unwell.
So thoughtful.
Following an examination, the vet was able to deliver the excellent news that the dog “seems fine,” providing his hooman with professional reassurance, a recommendation for steamed pumpkin and an $80 tube of probiotic paste.
The entire experience came to just $580, including the $500 pawblic holiday consultation.
Fortunately, his hooman had recently replenished her savings, meaning she was perfectly positioned to cover the expense.
The dog’s considerate behaviour continued at home, where he ate his entire dinner he’d spat out just hours before, requested additional snacks and, before his hooman even had a chance to offer pumpkin and open the $80 probiotic paste, he produced the most perfectly formed p**p known to canines.
Sources close to the family say his hooman was “speechless” at just how considerate and pawsitive the whole experience had been.
What a thoughtful pup.
