The results are in from the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition, and we are absolutely thrilled with how The Shearing Shed Cafe – Northampton WA performed!

🥇 GOLD – Sausage Roll
🥈 SILVER – Chicken Parmi Pie
🥈 SILVER – Cheeseburger Pie
🥈 SILVER – “Heatwave” Sausage Roll
🥈 SILVER – Spinach & Ricotta Sausage Roll
🥉 BRONZE – Chunky Mince Pie
🥉 BRONZE – Pepper Steak Pie

That’s 7 MEDALS! 🎉

Anyone who knows us knows there’s been a little friendly rivalry between Brad’s Cheeseburger Pie and Nic’s Chicken Parmi Pie.

Well, the judges have spoken…

Neither of them gets bragging rights on that one! 😂

But when we tally up all their entries…

We might just let Nic have the bragging rights there… 😉😂

For our little country cafe in Northampton to come away with SEVEN medals on the national stage is something we are incredibly proud of.

Cafe Junior
Our well established cafe The shearing Shed Café requires a Saturday Junior. You will be working in a fun and fast paced environment with a friendly and experienced team.

Applicants Must have a Friendly personality, be punctual and be able to develop customer relationships and a willingness to learn.
Be available for every Saturday shift, 7:00am to 1:30pm sometimes later. With school Holiday hours available

Cafe Assistant / All-Rounder
About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and reliable Cafe Assistant to join our team at The Shearing Shed Cafe. This is a "front-of-house" and "all-rounder" role where you will be the face of our cafe, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greeting customers, taking orders, and processing payments via our POS system.
Food & Drink Prep: Making basic drinks (smoothies, milkshakes) and assisting with simple food prep like sandwiches.
Cafe Maintenance: Keeping the seating area and workspace clean, sanitary, and organised.
Stock Support: Restocking supplies like cups, coffee beans, and display fridge, and assisting with stock rotation.
Requirements
Personality: A welcoming, engaging, and "can-do" attitude.
Reliability: Punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Previous cafe or barista experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person with great people skills.
Availability: [e.g., Weekends / Monday-Friday / Casual hours].
