We LOVE big groups. ❤️
And not because of the extra revenue.
We love seeing a big table full of people having a great night, the laughter, the celebrations, the birthdays, anniversaries, work dinners, family gatherings, and sometimes simply a group of friends getting together.
Being able to be a small part of those moments is one of the reasons we love hospitality. It makes all the hard work behind the scenes feel worthwhile.
But anyone who has worked in hospitality will understand that accommodating a large group takes a lot more preparation, organisation and attention. It means rearranging tables, preparing extra staff, coordinating the kitchen and service, and doing everything we can to make sure a large group has a wonderful experience while still looking after every other customer in the restaurant.
We are always happy to explain our policies and charges upfront. We welcome genuine questions, feedback and constructive criticism when something has genuinely gone wrong. We listen, we learn and, when we make a mistake, we will always do our best to make it right.
But when an accusation is made publicly that does not reflect what actually happened, we feel we have a responsibility to set the record straight not just for ourselves, but for the hardworking people behind this little restaurant.
Hospitality is an incredibly demanding industry, especially in the current economy. Behind every table are people who work long hours, care deeply about what they serve, and put their heart into creating a good experience for their customers.
We don’t enjoy having to address something like this publicly. We would much rather spend our time cooking, serving, laughing with our customers and doing what we love.
