Smultron på ett strå 🍓 One of my favourite Swedish summer memories.

Picking tiny wild strawberries and putting them on a blade of grass. So simple, but somehow I can still remember the feeling of those long summer days.

When I make grazing tables, I love bringing little pieces of those memories into what I create. Not just food, but the feeling around it — the details, the atmosphere, the things that make you stop for a moment.

Here, a Swedish summer memory growing in my native garden where it meets Australian native grass.

Who doesn’t love a Spring Loppis at Pappa Sven ? 🇸🇪❤️

If you haven’t experienced a Loppis before, it’s a very Swedish-style community market — a place to browse pre-loved treasures, enjoy good food and drinks, catch up with the community and simply soak up the atmosphere.

And oh, this one felt like home.

ABBA playing in the background, the community coming together, Pappa Sven’s Loppis almost picked clean as people snapped up their finds, happy kids enjoying delicious bakery treats, and women sitting knitting away with beautiful wool.

And then there was the food and drink!

☕ FIKA™ — one of my absolute favourites from my years living in Manly. I was sadly too late this time and they had already sold out… which says everything! 😍

🍬 YUMYUM - Swedish Candy Shop — Swedish liquorice and lollies that had me absolutely raving. So many favourites in one place!

Kippis — I tried their most amazing must gin drink (Finish inspired & born in Manly) and immediately understood the hype. Such a delicious Scandinavien inspired treat! A Bite to Excite will do a little collaboration so stay tuned!

And Pappa Sven, of course, bringing everyone together and creating that wonderful little slice of Sweden/Scandinavia right here in the community. 🇸🇪
Coming back to a Loppis like this — surrounded by good people, Swedish treats, music, laughter and community — really did feel like coming home.

One of my favourite parts of centrepiece styling is wandering through textile stores, searching for beautiful fabrics that spark new ideas. It was an honour to create this grazing experience for an inspiring community of women in business across the Hunter. Around the table, stories were shared, friendships were formed, and a genuine sense of community filled the room.
