Doors are open in New Norfolk and the taps are flowing. If your perfect Saturday involves escaping the city crowds for a chilled space, hearty winter food from the Swallow Kitchen (plenty of GF options!), and a fresh schooner of Portershead, you know where to find us.

Portershead is only pouring in brewery in the valley of love. The colour of this beer is no joke!
Rich, dark, and full-bodied, this porter is all about chocolatey goodness with a smooth, silky mouthfeel. Clocking in at 4.8%, it’s the perfect winter drop to spoil yourself with a couple.
While some of the crew are down battling the crowds at the Winter Feast, the New Norfolk taproom is wide open.
So if you’re more of a chilled-space kind of person, the brewery is right here waiting to give you those relaxed, cozy vibes away from the city hustle.
The Swallow Kitchen is firing up to fill your belly with hearty winter food, and we have gluten-free options available across the menu so no one misses out.

Here's another little breadcrumb before we can reveal our whole stall... Just one more sleep!
Dark Mofo's Winter Feast is officially around the corner, and we are ready to bring the Welcome Swallow vibe down to Hobart. This is what happens when you turn local creative talent Shan Hooper loose with a design brief.
Shan designed these brand-new tap decals completely in-house to look loud, dark, and beautiful under the moody lighting that the Winter Feast is known for - and absolutely crushed it.
Meet the official Winter Feast lineup:

1. EARTHLY DELIGHTS (Winter Warmer) [GF] – A mulled medley of mixed berries and orchard fruits with a spiced infusion. (5.5% ABV)

2. VOODOO RED IPA – An aromatic, bold red IPA. (5.8% ABV)

3. ESPRESSO STOUTINI – A rich, velvet nitro stout infused with fresh roasted Beansmith coffee, cacao nibs, and vanilla beans. (6% ABV)

4. HOPOCALYPSE (Hazy IPA) – A heavy-hitting, fruit-forward hazy pale ale. (5.2% ABV)

5. BLACK MAGIC DARK LAGER – A smooth, easy-drinking, and beautifully moody dark lager. (5% ABV)

Who else is absolutely relieved that the long weekend is finally here? 🙌

The rain is forecast to disappear, the blue skies are breaking through, and we have an extra day to celebrate!

If you are a local enjoying the break in the weather, or a visitor heading into New Norfolk this weekend to check out what the town has to offer - make sure you pop in and say g'day.

We are locally owned, independently brewed on-site, and our room is beautifully warm. Consider us your official weekend sanctuary. Drop in for a cold pint, grab a smash burger from the Swallow Kitchen, and pull up a couch to soak up the long weekend vibes. 🍔🍺

Jodie Goggins being her plant goddess today at the brewery. Today’s arrangements are part of the grand vision Nigel Graham for the Winter Feast. We can’t wait to show you how it all came together when it opens on the 11th of June.
Brayden Cosgrove is making sure the taps flow with perfection, so we can represent the valley with sipping perfection.

This weekend at the swallow we’re bringing a chilled vibe, a hiding away from the cold and catching up with loved ones.

What a night! Last Thursday was an absolute masterclass in chaos, and we are still recovering.
The iconic Pussáy Poppins didn’t just host - she completely took over the brewery, called the balls forth like absolute royalty, and had the entire room laughing until our sides hurt!

A massive thank you to everyone who packed out the room, brought the wild energy, and made it such a special night. Between the burgers, the beers, and the bingo markers, you lot proved once again that the Swallow community knows how to party!
