Minimising our environmental footprint, particularly around food waste, is close to our heart at Flat Rock Brew Cafe. So it was great to be able to share part of our story recently with Adelaide Miller from ABC about how we have reduced our landfill by over 75% and have reached zero food waste from our kitchen and brewery.

Australia wastes about $36 billion worth of food a year and experts...

Great to see some familiar faces reunited on the pitch, all with strong connections to North Sydney Junior Cricket Club.

And the cricket didn’t disappoint! Henry and Nirav both scored an impressive 46 runs, with Henry also picking up a wicket! 👏

A great reminder that cricket is more than just a game – it’s about friendships, community and connections that last well beyond the junior years.

Back in March, Marcus Englet from Weihenstephan Brewery, the oldest, still existing brewery in the world, came to visit us in our humble little set up. It was fantastic to listen to Marcus and his experiences with Weihenstephan. For nearly 1000 years they have been crafting traditional, quality Bavarian b**r, so they really know what they are doing. We thought it only fitting to celebrate Oktoberfest by pouring three of their classics - Helles, Heffe and Dunkel starting Thursday 1st October. Drop in, try some traditional German b**r alongside some great German inspired food specials. And if you visit dressed in your lederhosen, we’ll shout you your b**r of choice!!
