Thank you customers for your generous donation when coming in-store, we have finally been able to sponsor a wheelchair for children in need.
Let me tell you a story about coincidence. Awhile ago a nonprofit charity asked to drop their fundraise moneybox at our counter. We happily said yes - for the unlucky children. Around the same time, I found a catchy melodic song on spotify that I listened to on repeat. I was due for 20 weeks pregnancy scan, and that’s when we were told Noah had congenital heart defects. It was a lot more stressful and difficult towards the end when we were worried about his condition after being born.
Noah had to have his heart surgery at 3 weeks old - during which I received extensive support from Heartkids, always making sure us as carers for Noah receiving the rest and support we needed. After everything successfully completed and settled, I realized the fundraising moneybox was for HeartKids - and the random song that was played on repeat was dedicated to unfortunate kids that pass too soon due to heart disease. Thats how the Universe was trying to tell us that things would be okay no matter how terrible and awful they seem.
So now, every year, we try to raise money for Heartkids so that the generous work and programs can be continued and developed in supporting the children living with the conditions, their families, and especially carers of the angels that pass too soon.
