Our beloved Mahico will be calling it’s ‘’Last Dance’’ on Saturday, January 25th at Durrumbul Hall. We are SUPER grateful for all of your support over the last 3.5 years. The support of our Mahico community has allowed us to create events and festivals beyond our wildest dreams.
As I’m sure you all know, the current economic climate has had a huge impact on the music, events and arts industries over the past two years (especially in the last twelve months). We at Mahico have not been immune from this unfortunately. Increasing production costs and slower / last minute ticket sales have really impacted our ability to produce events to the level we are accustomed to. We create from the heart - in the pursuit of crafting unique spaces for human connection and the celebration of life! We are not willing to compromise on our events by cutting corners. To keep our integrity as a brand, we’ve made the tough decision to close the doors to this iteration of Mahico.
It’s been an incredible ride so far. We’ve had the opportunity to tour some of our favourite artists from across the globe, while building a beautiful community of Mahico followers. Our vibrant fiestas in Sydney & Byron Bay have attracted attendees from all across Australia and we’ve loved meeting all of you. What’s next for us? We will take a short break to work creatively behind the scenes on what the second iteration of Mahico will look like. Potential collaborations may even take our beloved brand overseas.. more to come on that so stay tuned.
We would love to say a BIG GRACIAS to you for making our collective dream a reality and invite you to the “Last Dance” at Durrumbul Hall on January 25th. A huge local and interstate line up will feature on the day, along with some of our all time favourites to send Mahico off in Style.
