Time to say goodbye!!
Thank you to all our valued OTH customers - the ones we saw regularly and the ones we saw on occasion, thanks to all the locals who made us your “local”.
We loved that you loved our coffee and our Scrambled Vol au Vent and our Shakshuka, our burger nights and our home made pies.
We loved our little cafe, the feel we created and the food we served. We loved being part of the community and had hoped to be there for a long time.
Unfortunately our tenancy was not easy and our health and mental health are way more important than pushing against immovable forces.
While we were hoping to trade up until Sunday - we actually called it quits earlier in the week as it became too much to put both myself or my staff through and unfortunately we can not even serve you a coffee today!
We didnt always get everything right, we know that, and we were not everythng to everyone, we know that, but we put our best foot forward toward the vision we had and had pride in what we did and im proud of what we did achieve in ongoingly challenging circumstances.
Thanks to all the staff who contributed in the last 18 months (ish).
John, Mary, Jasper, Amelia, Dario, Belinda, Chas, Maria, Marta, Prince, KJ, Freya, Seth, Krystal, Pepa, Ainsley, Aidan, Hayley, Ali, Ian, Jayden and any others who spent a little time with us.
Thks lastly to:
Rod from Near or Far buslines for supporting the village.
The community guys who come round putting up lights for christmas and decorations for other events. All in their own time.
The Railway transport workers for the ongoing support.
The guys at Clarence Sands for your ongoing concern for the village and taking my calls everytime!
Vanessa for her pie recipe and wonderful nature of sharing with me.
The crew from AskRoz! For ongoing support.
Chris for the ongoing and unwaivering support - you know who you are!
Wishing everyone good health in the future because without it, we have nothing!!
Mel
