Pippin Took² is the reincarnation of the original restaurant in the Brisbane suburb of Bardon. They took a detour in the 90s/noughties with Chow Bistro in Milton too - the venue my wife & I chose for our post wedding dinner with family.
These days Helen & Ross are enjoying running a smaller, more intimate venue.
I have dined at both the original & new Pippin Tooks, with my wife, friends & family going back to 1988. Not once have we had a bad experience, and long term friends have always been full of praise for their experience, and have been repeat customers too.
Helen is the perfect host - unruffled, calm, attentive & thoroughly professional.
Ross is a master in his kitchen, presenting high quality food that has never failed to leave me smiling & sated.
I have been dining with these fabulous folk for over 35 years. That is a testament to their passion, commitment to quality, and the way in which you become part of their family, because I cannot say that about any other restaurant I have been to. Repeat business? Yes. Nearly 40 years, across 3 or more venues? Nope. And one of only 2 BYO restaurants I have ever taken 20+ year old wines to.
