We are looking for our Head Chef!

With the Signal Station reopening in early October, we’re looking for someone pretty special to take ownership of the kitchen and help shape what comes next.

It’s a full-time salaried role, predominantly daytime hours, with the opportunity to build the menu, the kitchen and the team alongside us from the beginning.

We’re building our opening team 🌿

As we prepare to open The Signal Station this October, we’re looking for a small group of brilliant hospitality people to join us from the very beginning.

We’re currently seeking Expressions of Interest for:

Head Chef
Chef
Front of House
Barista

There will be a mix of full-time and casual opportunities, with predominantly daytime hours and some evening events.

More than anything, we’re looking for people who genuinely love hospitality. People who notice the little things, take pride in what they do, look after each other and are absolutely guest obsessed.

Hello, and welcome to the next chapter of The Signal Station.

If you've been wondering what's been happening at The Signal Station over the past year, you're certainly not alone!

The venue has been closed for some time, and many of you have been asking what's next. Today, we're excited to finally introduce ourselves and share a little of the journey ahead.

We're Borche and Anna, and we're incredibly honoured to become the new custodians of this iconic Tasmanian destination.

Firstly, we'd like to acknowledge and thank those who have cared for The Signal Station before us. This venue already holds a special place in the hearts of so many people, and we know it has been the backdrop for countless memories over the years.

As a local family, we're passionate about Tasmania and the community we're proud to be part of. We believe hospitality is about so much more than great food and beautiful views, it's about creating places where people feel genuinely welcome, where our community can gather, celebrate special moments, reconnect with loved ones, and create lasting memories.

Over the coming months, we'll be carefully preparing The Signal Station for its next chapter while respecting the history and character that makes it so special.

We're planning to reopen in October 2026, and we'd love for you to come along on the journey. We'll be sharing behind-the-scenes updates, progress on the venue, our vision, and plenty of exciting milestones as opening day gets closer.
