Another week of school holidays means another special request from my children, and this week's favourite is Vietnamese Flan (Bánh Flan) - a much loved dessert in many Vietnamese homes. Bánh Flan is our version of the classic French crème caramel—a silky smooth egg custard topped with a layer of rich golden caramel. Introduced during the French colonial period, it has become a popular dessert in Vietnamese cuisine and is often enjoyed at family gatherings, celebrations, or as a special after-school treat. This week, we're sharing our family's homemade Bánh Flan at Top of the Mount, made with love from our family recipe. We hope you'll enjoy this comforting taste of Vietnamese home cooking. For those who have been asking gluten-free dessert option, this special treat is for you. Limited stock available this week until sold out.
