Today, I had the privilege of attending the Official Opening Ceremony for the upgraded shed at Care Kits for Kids QLD—and it was such a special moment to see the real-world impact of our community’s generosity!
Looking back at August through October last year, we set out with a goal to support the incredible work Care Kits for Kids QLD does for children in emergency, kin or foster care, DFV crisis, extreme poverty or homelessness.
Thanks to YOUR unbelievable support, the Mount Gravatt Hotel , with support from The Australian National Hotel and the Holland Park Hotel were able to raise a total of $7650!
The Greater Mount Gravatt/Mansfield Lions Club also donated $1000 directly to Care Kits for Kids and the Mount Gravatt Social Club donated $1000 to the hotel's fundraising appeal. We also received prize donations from Neil’s Auto Electrics, The Stones Corner Hotel, The Manly Hotel, Oxford 152, The Camp Hill Hotel, The Australian National Hotel and The Holland Park Hotel!
Whether you bought a ticket in our weekly meat tray and hamper raffles, or joined us for our Charity Fundraiser Dinner on October 4th, this achievement belongs to you.
To everyone who bought a ticket, donated, or helped spread the word: THANK YOU. Your kindness directly contributed to this upgraded space, which will help Care Kits for Kids QLD Volunteers continue providing essential supplies, comfort, and hope to kids throughout QLD who need it most.
