GREECE CALLS… SO THE BOSS IS BACK. 🇬🇷☕️

With two of our local legends heading off to Greece for a well-earned two-week adventure this Friday, we had to call in reinforcements…

Which means:
Sam is officially returning from the Big Smoke™️ (Adelaide) and making his way back home to Confession for the next two weeks.

That’s right.
The big boss is back behind the machine.

Expect:
☕️ coffee chats
☕️ controlled chaos
☕️ questionable music choices
☕️ old-school Confession energy
☕️ and probably Sam pretending he still knows where everything is

We’re ridiculously excited for the girls heading overseas — an unreal opportunity and very deserved.

BUT…
with Sam returning to home base, that also means Harry and Bailey are now running absolutely wild in the Adelaide store.

Next week we officially lose two of our staff members to Europe for two weeks… and honestly, we’re not convinced they’re coming back.

To the girls heading off to Greece:
Eat everything.
Drink everything.
Take too many photos.
Miss your flight home at least once.

And most importantly…
Please try not to come back engaged to a six-foot-three Greek man named Nico who owns a beach club and says things like “baby, slow down, life is for living.”

Mount Gambier simply isn’t emotionally prepared for that outcome.

🏇 GOLD CUP FRIDAY 🏇

This Friday, a couple of our junior staff are swapping the coffee machine for a day trackside at The Atrium for the Mount Gambier Gold Cup 🍾

A day to get dressed up.
A day to relax.
A day to enjoy good food, great atmosphere and celebrate all the hard work they put into our café week in and week out.

At Confession, we believe young staff deserve opportunities, experiences and moments they’ll remember — because the people behind the counter are a huge part of what makes this place what it is.

So this Friday, we’re shouting two of our juniors a well-earned day at the races alongside one of our senior staff members acting as their chaperone for the day, as I will be away in Melbourne for AFL 😂

It’s easy to overlook just how important bees are to our everyday lives, but without them, much of the food and coffee we enjoy simply wouldn’t exist.

This Wednesday, Confession Coffee House will be supporting World Bee Day alongside the WHEEN Bee Foundation to help raise awareness around the importance of protecting Australia’s bee populations.

Keep an eye out for our special Bee Day cups in store and take a moment to scan the QR code to learn more about the role bees play in our environment, agriculture, and morning coffee ritual.
