We established The Tuck Shop in January 2021 at the end of what seemed to be a pandemic that people thought was never going to never end. We initially opened our shop to keep staffing however with the revolving door that is hospitality, this has been more of a training ground for many going on to broader opportunities in and out of the region, in and out of hospitality.
Over the last 3 years we have grown from a catering space to coffee shop and all in between with pop up dinners and take outs.
Today we find there is a saturated cafe/ coffee market. Yet even with this we have found our new place in the evening trade with a premium experience dining offering at our restaurant Elementary by Soul Co and long standing business catering Soul Projects (Established in 2012).
This has been a hard decision but one we have reflected on with gratitude and a full heart that effective from the 28th April 2024 we will close full time operations at The Tuck Shop, we hope this will help our hospitality community in the cafe trade..
We will continue to offer pop-ups at the space in the future, can we just say ‘watch this space’!
Reidy Park School lunches will not be affected by this closure and we will still offer the students daily lunch options via Bopple.
We would like to deeply thank our loyal customers, suppliers and staff over the past years for their highly valued trade and commitment to us.
It’s time for us to focus on the future of our big little company and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
