WE’RE HIRING — FULL TIME CHEF / COOK 👨🍳
The Morven Hotel Motel is looking for a reliable and experienced Full Time Chef/Cook to join our team in Morven, South West Queensland.
We’re looking for someone who is confident working in a country pub kitchen, takes pride in producing good, consistent meals and works well as part of a small team.
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally pub or bistro
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Able to work independently and as part of a small team
* Confident working through busy service periods
* Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements
* Food Safety Supervisor certification, or willingness to obtain it
* Able to maintain consistent food quality and portion sizes
* Good time management and organisation
* Experience with prep, stock rotation and minimising food waste
* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and public holidays
* Good communication with front-of-house staff
* Willingness to assist with menu ideas, specials and general kitchen duties
* Friendly, respectful and easy to work with
* Current driver’s licence
* References available from previous employers
