We’re finalists!

We’re incredibly proud to share that Wishbone Chickens Mortdale has been named a finalist in the 2026 Georges River Local Business Awards for Outstanding Fast Food/Takeaway.

Wishbone started with our family back in 1989 and more than 35 years later, we’re still the same family behind Wishbone, with some new faces joining our team along the way.

What makes this even more special is knowing that you helped get us here.

To everyone who nominated us, comes through our doors, recommends us to friends and continues to support our family business, thank you. Your support means more to our family than you probably realise.

Nick and Helen started something pretty special all those years ago, and we’re incredibly proud to still be carrying it on today.

Proud to support local.

We had a great day celebrating Peakhurst United and another fantastic season.

Manny was proud to represent Wishbone and present one of the awards, and we loved receiving our framed Wishbone jersey.

We’re proud to support a club that brings so many local families together and to give back to the community that supports us.

Congratulations to everyone at Peakhurst United on a great season. 💚⚽

And of course, one little member of the Wishbone family was very quick to spot our logo 😂
