I had the absolute pleasure of travelling out to Immerse in the Yarra Valley on Saturday with this stunner.

I don’t often travel that way due to my Peninsula weddings but it was such a treat and the staff were just lovely. As was the ☕️ 🤩

Let’s talk AI.

More and more I am sent images created with this.

Whilst I am happy to work to your vision, it HAS to remain a design tool, and NOT a visual representation of what you will receive from a handmade product.

This week I was sent this inspo.

After quoting and invoicing for a round and heart cake based on guest count, the invoice was accepted, paid and cakes created.

Turns out , round was not the required shape and I had to completely remake the cake in less than 24hours 🥴

Whilst I can clearly see now that the cake in the original image is oval, when it came through as a last minute request, I didn’t, hence the quote and the invoice.

On production, real cake photos were requested and colours and font were questioned.

Lighting plays a huge part and I can only work with the tools and the hands I have.

Yes the difference in size was paid for but nothing can cover the time lost in these instances.

I will now use this as a learning curve and try to educate going forward!

Hopefully they were still enjoyed and a fun day was had celebrating birthdays 🎉
