A huge thank you to everyone who chose to spend part of their Father's Day weekend with us. 🍦☕🥞

It was so lovely seeing the Coffee Barn buzzing again after our winter break, and we're incredibly grateful for everyone who came through the doors.

We thought we'd finish Father's Day doing what we love too — spending some time together as a family. ❤️

The freezer is filling up and tomorrow morning, after a long winter, we'll finally be opening the doors again!

There's a LOT of gelato in there and more being made... but we're keeping the flavours under wraps for now. 😉

It starts today... 🍦

This is the part you don't normally get to see.

We're making our gelato base, but it won't become gelato today!

Once the mix is made and pasteurised, it needs time to mature overnight. This allows the proteins, fats and stabilisers to properly develop, helping create the smooth, creamy texture we want in our gelato. ❤️

So today's mix is getting its beauty sleep...

Tomorrow, the real fun begins! 🍦

And after a long winter, we can't wait to fill that cabinet again.
