One thing we’ve come to appreciate since taking over The Watering Hole is just how much history lives within these walls.

Over the years, this building has been known by many names. From my research, here’s what I’ve uncovered so far:

🍻 Nancy Belle
🍻 Monbulk Tavern
🍻 Burnt Toast
🍻 Sandbar
🍻 Blarney’s Bar & Restaurant
🍻 The Hills
🍻 The B**r Engine
🍻 The Watering Hole

And now, under our family’s ownership, we’ve proudly kept the name The Watering Hole Tavern.

But here’s where we need YOU!

❤️ Have I missed any names?
❤️ Do you remember when the venue operated under a different name?
❤️ Did you work here, celebrate a milestone, meet your partner or make lifelong friendships here?
❤️ Do you have old photographs, menus, memorabilia or stories you’d be willing to share?

We’re creating a dedicated Heritage Room to celebrate the history of this building and the people who have made it such a special part of Monbulk.

Because while we might hold the keys today, this building belongs to the memories of generations of locals.

We’re simply the next custodians of its story.

Today was one of those days that reminded me just how lucky I am to have such an amazing team around me.

Not a moment’s hesitation when it came to rolling up their sleeves, getting their hands dirty and coming together for a working bee to give The Watering Hole Tavern a little refresh! 🔨🌿🍻

From inside to outside, we’ve been busy making changes, and I couldn’t be prouder of the effort, energy and enthusiasm everyone brought to the day.

This is what teamwork looks like. People who genuinely care about the place they’re helping to build. ❤️

We’re creating something special here, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

SOMETHING EXCITING IS BREWING AT THE WATERING HOLE TAVERN!

We're giving our b**r garden a little makeover!

We'll be CLOSED this Monday while we roll up our sleeves and make some exciting improvements to our outdoor area, just in time for OKTOBERFEST! 🍺🇩🇪

A bit of hard work, a few changes and hopefully not too many arguments over where things should go! 😂

We're looking forward to creating an even better space for everyone to relax, enjoy a cold b**r and share some good times.
