**Farewell to the Tea Room — and thank you.**
After 18 months of coffee, connection, and community, it’s time for us to say goodbye to The Old Gippstown Tea Room.
Since opening in October 2023, the Café has operated as a social enterprise — a space for building real-world skills, confidence, and connection.
Some proud moments include:
💛 Delivering hospitality training that boosted employability for our community
💛 Being recognised through the People’s Choice Award for our work in inclusion
💛 Creating a space where conversations about access, equity, and community could thrive
But more than anything — it was the people who made it special.
To our customers and community: thank you for showing up, cheering us on, and supporting inclusion in action.
To our Thrive participants: thanks for showing up, having a go, and bringing your whole selves. You helped shape the vibe of the place and made it what it was.
To our team: none of it would have been possible without you. Running a live training program in a working café takes patience, adaptability, teamwork and heart. You brought all of that — and more.
While we’re stepping away from the Tea Room, we’re stepping into new opportunities that continue to reflect our values: inclusion, collaboration, and community-driven impact.
Because when values align, meaningful change follows.
