Summer at Kindred is busy, social and never boring ☕️🌿

We’re looking for a few extra hands to join us over the holiday season — serving great coffee, meeting interesting people and becoming part of the little community that’s grown under the elm tree.

If you’re friendly, reliable, love people and have hospitality or coffee experience, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll need to be available weekdays, weekends and across Christmas/New Year.

Tell people that they are eating gluten-free + vegan and apparently they start picturing a glass of water, some air and a handful of grass clippings. 😂

Yeah… we don’t really do that.

Colour, crunch, loaded hummus, falafel wraps, fresh fruit, berries and little cakes — built around the dietary brief without making the food feel like the consolation prize.

Kindred grazing boxes can be tailored for morning tea, lunch, events and all sorts of dietary requirements.

There’s something special about watching dads and their kids spend time together under the elm tree — playing a game, reading a book, sharing a coffee, or simply being together.

It’s often the ordinary moments that become the memories we treasure most.

Father’s Day is also a chance to acknowledge the mentors, grandads, uncles, family friends and good men who step up, guide, encourage and show up in ways that matter more than they may ever realise.

And for those of us whose dads are no longer here, it can be a day of remembering too.

So here’s to the dads we can still make memories with, the men who choose to be there, and the dads we carry with us always. 🤍

If you still think gluten-free means dry, bland or disappointing, I’d really like to change your mind.

Because that old stereotype is still hanging around — and it doesn’t look anything like what we’re creating at Kindred.

From this tiny coffee van comes a pretty ridiculous range of small-batch cakes, muffins, brownies and slices, all made with real fruit, nuts, chocolate, spice, citrus, curds, pralines and plenty of texture.

The goal has never been “good for gluten-free.”

It has to be moist, indulgent, full of flavour and something you’d choose because it looks and tastes genuinely good.

Whether you need gluten-free or dairy-free or not.

Because maybe gluten-free isn’t what you remember — maybe you just haven’t tried the right cake yet.
