To be fair, it’s not hard to stay loyal when there’s great coffee, thoughtfully curated treats, a heritage-listed Chinese Elm tree, friendly faces, and plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free cakes and muffins that don’t taste like stale cardboard.

Kindred has always been about more than what’s in the cup.

It’s about creating a space where people can gather around a table, share a conversation, feel welcome, and find a little connection in the middle of a busy day.

We’re open every day this King’s Birthday Long Weekend from 7am–2pm, and there’s so much happening in Milton!

🌿 Saturday – Explore the Milton Markets, then stop by for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat.

🛍 Sunday – The Vintage Revival Markets are on in the Church Hall from 10am–2pm, right here beside us.

☕ Monday – We’ll be back serving our community with great coffee, warm food, and plenty of winter comfort.

For the past few days I’ve been wandering through the Sydney fruit markets, cafes, restaurants and laneways taking in the colours, the smells, the conversations, and all the little seasonal details that somehow end up becoming inspiration later in the kitchen 🍓🥥🍑

The funny thing is, ideas never seem to arrive when I’m actually trying to think of them. Sometimes they happen while I’m brushing my teeth… which is exactly how the raspberry coconut mini Queen Victoria cakes came to life.

So now I’m heading back into the kitchen with a head full of ideas, market finds, and absolutely no clear plan… which is usually when the best creations happen.

Let’s see what gets baked next 🤍

Kindred Coffee @ Milton is closed midweek and will reopen Friday ☕️

Over the next few days we’ll be undertaking further technical training to better maintain and repair our equipment, while also gathering fresh inspiration to continue creating a warm, memorable community experience at the van 🤍

Turns out the secret to happiness might just be coffee and little treats ☕️

After extensive field research conducted personally by me, it has been confirmed that regularly receiving little treats from your local coffee van significantly improves mood, emotional stability, and overall quality of life.

Further studies also suggest coffee tastes better when accompanied by cake 🤍

We have received a very kind donation of beautiful hand-knitted blankets, all lovingly handmade and perfect for keeping warm this winter.

These gorgeous blankets are ideal for the lounge, the end of the bed, cosy nights on the couch, or as thoughtful gifts for someone special.

Every blanket has been made with love, and all proceeds from their sale will go directly towards our fundraiser for Wheels for Tommy — a truly wonderful cause helping raise funds for a wheelchair-compliant van for Tommy and his family.
