🎭 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TEACHING ARTISTS 🎭

Ensemble Theatre has launched an exciting new initiative for the next generation of performers: ENSEMBLE YOUTH STUDIO.

Focused on delivering professional theatre experiences for young people through workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on industry learning, our first program will be the Winter School Holiday Workshop Program, running from 6–17 July.

We are currently seeking passionate and experienced teaching artists to join us in delivering these workshops.

At this stage, we are especially interested in artists who enjoy working with primary-aged children and are excited about inspiring young people through creativity, performance, and play.

To express your interest, please submit:
▪️ Your CV
▪️ A short bio outlining your previous teaching artist experience, what you love about working with young people and why you’d love to work with Ensemble Theatre to [email protected]

To those who have already expressed interest, we thank you, and we will be in touch soon!

Join us as we build a vibrant new pathway for young performers and theatre-makers.

Last week, Ensemble Theatre was delighted to welcome students from Liverpool Girls High School as part of The Smith Family’s SmArts Program.

Across an action-packed week, students explored every aspect of theatre-making through workshops in lighting design with Matt Cox, script writing with Mary Rachel Brown, set and costume design with Sophia Wallace and Ruby Hamersley, directing with Anna Houston, devising with Nancy Denis, and character creation with Education Lead, Sophie Kelly.

Students also attended a performance of 84 CHARING CROSS ROAD followed by a special careers Q&A with cast member Angela Mahlatjie.

Ensemble’s long-standing partnership with The Smith Family is an important part of our commitment to inspiring and supporting the next generation of theatre-makers.

What an extraordinary result 🎭

To everyone who donated, shared, and rallied behind Ensemble's first Giving Day - thank you.

This support doesn’t just fund a day; it fuels the stories we’ll tell for years to come ❤️❤️

YOU DID IT🎉

Because of you, we can continue championing Australian artists, creating bold new stories and keeping the magic of live theatre alive for everyone who walks through our doors.
Every donation, every share, every show of support made this possible — and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Thank you from all of us at Ensemble ❤️ ✨
