Our Farmhouse Cafe is open March-January each year and our Little Ice-creamery and Milkbar in Cairns is open all year. Over 30 years ago, two brothers took over their family farm. Growing up on the land, they held a deep affinity for it. It's why they decided to farm so differently! We us a method of farming called Biodynamic's which means no poisons, fertilisers or pesticides. Instead we focus on regenerative farming, to rebuild health into our land. Our farms are more than just cows and pasture. We have let 30% of our land naturally regenerate into rainforest, cultivated wetlands and increased biodiversity in our paddocks with diverse tropical pastures. All this because we want to create a living farm organism. Our farms are full of wallabies, cassowaries and a diverse bird population, exactly as a biodynamic farm should be. Today our family continues to work on the land, now with the next generation involved.

WEEKEND RELIEF MILKER – Millaa Millaa

We are looking for a locally based weekend relief Milker for our Home and Bartle View Farm. This is a long term role - experienced preferred.

You will be responsible for the weekend milking, feeding the calves, rotating the cows between paddocks, dairy shed and vat hygiene, and ensuring good animal welfare and the quality standards for our premium Biodynamic milk are met.

Prior milking, farm and calf care experience would be well regarded, however training can be provided for the right candidate.

Sat & Sundays – 5.30-8.30am and afternoon Milkings 3.00-6pm.
