📢 A Quick Message About Delivery Apps
Third-party delivery apps charge customers extra fees while also taking a significant cut from local businesses.
Customers pay more.
Businesses receive less.
The problem is that businesses can't simply leave these platforms while competitors remain on them. We'd lose customers overnight. Yet if more people ordered directly from local businesses, everyone would be better off.
Another issue is delivery quality.
We prepare food fresh and on time, but once it leaves the store, we lose control. Orders are often grouped together, resulting in food spending longer in the car than intended.
When food arrives cold or late, the restaurant receives the complaint, the bad review, and sometimes even the financial cost through refunds and compensation.
We're considering introducing our own online ordering system for pickup orders, allowing customers to order online directly while keeping more money in the local community.
Would you use it?
We'd also encourage other local businesses to start having this conversation. While we may be competitors, we're all facing the same challenge.
If just 100 customers switched from app orders to direct pickup orders each week, the difference to a small local business would be enormous.
