We would like to make our community aware of an incident that occurred today involving a small group of teenagers, believed to be around 15 years of age.

Concerns were raised after one of the youths was seen in possession of a knife. Police were contacted and attended promptly and the knife was confiscated.

While we are grateful for the prompt response from police, the incident raises concerns for the wellbeing and safety of everyone involved. We are concerned for the young person found carrying the knife, the other teenagers associated with the group, and members of the public who may be affected by this type of behaviour.

This situation highlights the importance of guidance, support, and positive influences for young people, as well as the need to maintain safe public spaces for everyone in our community.

We thank the police for their assistance and encourage parents, guardians, and community members to continue having conversations with young people about making safe and responsible choices.

The safety and wellbeing of our community remain a priority, and we appreciate the efforts of those who help keep our area safe.
