Gotta try the carp dishes at Kuti Shack
Glen and I took a rare leisurely trip together via Milang, dropping fish to the Butter Factory Cafe, tour brochures to the Goolwa Visitor Centre and finished off with a fact finding lunch.
We always try and taste the dishes that are made with our fish
To see if they do it justice. And boy do Brendan and Vanessa deliver the goods.
The carpo roll tasted just like the traditional Chiko roll except made with our beautiful minced carp.
And the carp lasagna was an inspiration with its delicate layers of seasoned carp floating
in a light tomato seafood bisque

Today we hosted Jen and Sonya from Melbourne for an impromptu lunch before they headed out on their Seabirds and Seals tour with Glen.
Normally they would have had a morning tea goody box but because we changed to an afternoon departure, we invited them to come and have lunch with us on the Coorong. The goody boxes became a platter.

The first outing for the Seafood and Eat it Food van at the Meningie Area School Enterprise Expo.
It was a great opportunity to give it a shakedown. Compact And cozy Is one way to describe it. We worked out what we could and couldn't do in the space. A bit of fine tuning and then we can hit the road.

Your dog can feel good about their diet because they are eating products utilising carp from the Murray River. Woof!

Didn't win the award but had a productive, informative and relaxing break in Sydney
Caught up with many friends and acquaintances we hadn't seen good a while.
Ate some great seafood but not as good as Coorong mullet 😋🐟🧡
