But we HAVE been informed that Friday is a public holiday.

36 MONTHS OLD. STILL MORE MATURE THAN MOST OF US. 🧀🇫🇷

New on the MWB menu: Comté AOP Charles Arnaud — 36 months, Jura, France.

Three years of ageing brings deep nuttiness, toasted hazelnut, caramel, a touch of salt and those glorious little crunchy crystals that make you stop talking for a second.

Rich. Complex. Slightly fancy.

Basically, the cheese equivalent of having your life completely together.

We can’t relate.

But we can pour you a wine to go with it. 🍷

WEEKS 14 & 15 OF THE GREAT MAGNUM ADVENTURE 🍷🚐🇦🇺

Another two weeks and the empty magnum continues to make questionable life choices across WA.

🎣 Kalbarri Fishermen’s Wharf — looking suspiciously nautical.

🌾 Mingenew — another town ticked off.

🍇 A vineyard at Windy Creek estate — FINALLY back in its natural habitat. There may have been tears.

🚛 On a tow truck in Westonia — we'd rather not ask.

🔞 In front of a brothel in Kalgoorlie— because apparently what happens on the road trip… gets sent directly to MWB. 😂

🛣️ Fraser Range Station — another iconic road sign, another compulsory magnum photoshoot.

At this point, the bottle has done wineries, beaches, gorges, pubs, tow trucks AND a brothel.

It's no longer a road trip. It's a gap year.

Safe travels, legends. ❤️

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett 2023

Straight from the steep slate slopes of the Mosel — where Riesling gets very, very serious.

🍑 Ripe peach & apricot
🍏 Crisp green apple
🍋 Fresh citrus
🌸 Delicate florals
🪨 That gorgeous slatey minerality

There’s a touch of sweetness, but don’t expect dessert wine. Brilliant acidity keeps everything fresh, light and beautifully balanced.

Juicy. Elegant. Mineral. Dangerously easy to drink.
