the wait is finally over, we’ve teased you enough.

our newest artist merch has hit the bar and this is a VERY small run so get in quick. once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.

our artist this time needs barely any introduction. if you’ve visited kent recently you’ll have seen their work all over the place, from the mural in the smoking area, to the wine list, the beer board, and now our merch collection.

we’re obviously talking about none other than Sean Heather

sean has made a huge mark on kent st (literally), and we bloody love him for it. we love him so much in fact that we recently decided to hire him!

you can catch sean and his designs at the bar from tonight onwards.

peace on kent.

YURLU | COUNTRY is a powerful and deeply personal documentary following Banjima Elder Maitland Parker during the final year of his life, as he fights to protect his homelands and preserve his culture in the shadow of the Wittenoom asbestos disaster. Set across the striking landscapes of Western Australia’s Pilbara region, the film explores the ongoing impact of one of the largest contaminated sites in the Southern Hemisphere, a catastrophe that continues to affect both land and community generations later. As Maitland faces mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure, his determination to seek justice and healing for Country becomes even more urgent. Through intimate storytelling and breathtaking cinematography, YURLU | COUNTRY is both a moving portrait of resilience and a call to action for environmental restoration, cultural survival, and truth-telling.

Members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are respectfully advised that this film contains images and voices of deceased people.

Kent St acknowledge that we meet on the land of the Wurundjeri people and that sovereignty of the land of the Kulin Nation was never ceded. We also acknowledge the Banjima people and pay respect to their Elders, past and present, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.

Twas the night of Christmas at Kent St no doubt.
All the regular creatures were smashing about.

The stockings were ripped, and their lipstick was smeared.
Eight dollar bah humbug shots brought plenty of cheer.

was spinning bangers, that s**t was tight.
No Mariah was played, it was electro post punk all night.

Abandon your family with us from 4pm, Zaftig from 9pm, and $8 bah humbug shots to keep you alive.

Happy holigays, ya filthy animals.

Love Kent St
