The Butter Chicken Shop has spent seven years proving a simple idea in Melbourne: world-class Indian food, made with zero chef dependency. Our tech enabled assembly line, automated kitchen model removes human error and delivers the same taste, every store, every time — every location, under 2% food waste, with over 90% customer retention .
Now we're taking it to India, launching in Bengaluru ahead of a pan-India rollout.
Let's be honest about why. The Australian market is doing it tough — high rents, labour shortages and diminishing margins are squeezing even strong operators. India is the opposite: a 1.5 billion market with rising disposable income and a fast-growing middle class, where the world's biggest food brands are now racing to plant a flag. The smarter move is to stop fighting the headwind here and build where the growth actually is.
So we're inviting a small founding team to build this with us. We want hospitality leaders, current or retired managers from major food brands, business development brokers, food technologists and F&B specialists who want skin in the game, not just a salary. The opportunity includes equity participation from the outset — advisory, sweat-equity or founder terms depending on your involvement — with financial terms and contracts to follow as the venture scales.
