Congratulations to Emma and Steve on their marriage yesterday. Semi naked and rustic white chocolate mud cake cake filled with white chocolate ganache. Adorned with soft and dusty pink roses, lisianthus and carnations.

Happy 18th birthday to Liam. Liam’s passions are Dungeon and Dragons, Warhammer, military history and is learning to fly - lucky for me the members of my family have very similar interests and passions so I could draw on their knowledge of the topics. To tie in all of the brief requests, I created a continuous line drawing of a dragon, Warhammer sword and the 20 sided Dungeon and Dragons dice a historical plane. Joining each illustration was a heartbeat to represent passion for each interest. On top is the brush and paint pot used to paint the miniature figurines that go with the games. Once again edible metallic paint pops on the black background.

Happy 18th birthday to my first born. Like most cake decorators, we fall into this business by making our kids birthday cakes. I couldn’t wait to make birthday cakes once I became a mum even though I was completely clueless about baking and decorating. The inspiration for this year’s cake was ‘How it started’ and ‘how it’s going’. Swipe to see Mad’s first birthday cake compared to her 18th. The clock also represents how time flies when you’re a parent and it’s time to for your child to step into the adult world 🥺

Happy 50th birthday to . Haydn is a long time friend and one of my open water swimming buddies (he’s a lot faster than me though!). His cake is based on pole number one at Mentone Beach which is the first of 4 poles we swim to. There is a stingray that loves to hang around there. All hand painted with paint.

Happy birthday to lovely Chloe. It’s been so lovely this year to be making 18th birthday cakes for those I still picture as little kinder kids. Where has that time gone! Love the bling the topper brings from . Inside was white chocolate mud cake with freeze dried raspberry. Massive massive shout out to for their incredible service getting the raspberries to me in record time after I stupidly stuffed up my order.

I’m all set for Curiosity and Creativity week at school. I’ll be passing on all my tips and tricks for making a gingerbread house with a local twist. I can’t wait to see how the girls put their own creativity into theirs.
