Today is the Dragon Boat Festival 🛶🥳✌️
Eating zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) during the Dragon Boat Festival originated over 2,000 years ago to commemorate Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet who drowned himself in a river. Locals threw rice into the water to distract fish from his body, a tradition that evolved into this beloved, leaf-wrapped treat eaten to symbolize remembrance.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Family and Heritage: Making and eating zongzi represents unity. The intricate folding, wrapping, and tying process is a shared family activity, and the dumplings are frequently exchanged as gifts between relatives and friends❤️
